Senior Sales Engineer - Data Security (DSPM, DLP, Insider Risk) - Northeast

The Role and the Team

You will be a senior sales engineer in our fast‑growing Data Security Group, partnering with specialist account managers and customers. As a subject matter expert, you will help deliver people‑centric solutions focused on Data Security and Insider Risk.

Your Day‑to‑Day

  • Drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with ATG Sales Specialists & Account Teams to develop and execute targeted account penetration strategies.
  • Build trust and rapport with customers and prospects as the main technical point of contact throughout the sales process.
  • Lead technical discovery, proof‑of‑concept (POC), and production evaluations.
  • Design and champion complex solutions across the Data Security portfolio, including DLP, Insider Risk, and Data Security Posture Management.
  • Assist in professional services deployments, technical training, and industry seminars when needed.
  • Work collaboratively with Professional Services, Support, Engineering, and Product Management to ensure effective operation and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customer insights to product, marketing, and engineering teams.
  • Deliver training presentations and support internal communication channels.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of proven track record selling solutions as a sales engineer, ideally in Data Security, DSPM, and Insider Risk.
  • Strong understanding of the cybersecurity market and competitors in these areas.
  • Expertise in core security solutions such as Enterprise DLP, CASB, Insider Threat Management, Endpoint Security, Isolation, and DSPM.
  • Deep knowledge of the sales process and the role of a sales engineer.
  • Excellent technical presentation and written communication skills.
  • Ability to articulate the big picture, uncover business challenges, and architect appropriate solutions.
  • Thrives in a fast‑paced, high‑energy environment and works independently.
  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in a relevant field (or equivalent experience).
  • CISSP or similar industry certification preferred.
  • Travel required.
