We are seeking a talented and experienced Python Developer to join our data engineering team, contributing to a major system modernization initiative aimed at enhancing the investor experience. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and implement scalable data solutions that serve a large user base. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with modern technologies and a strong background in software development within fast-paced environments. Key Responsibilities Write clean, efficient, and scalable code using Python and C# to build APIs and services. Lead and inspire a team of developers across onshore and offshore locations. Implement software development best practices focusing on resiliency, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with business units, product teams, and technology stakeholders to deliver business value. Work closely with QA, Release Management, and DevOps teams to ensure adherence to SDLC processes. Develop and maintain technical documentation for system components and workflows. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to daily POD activities. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. 5+ years of professional experience in software development using Python, C#, and SQL. 3+ years of experience with AWS services including Glue, EKS, S3, NoSQL databases, Postgres, API Gateway, and Kafka. 3+ years of experience in SQL development including procedures, views, indexes, and performance tuning. 3+ years of experience with source control tools such as Git, Bitbucket, or TFS. Experience with CI/CD tools like TeamCity, Octopus, Jenkins, or Jules. 3+ years of experience in the financial services or brokerage domain. 1+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes. Core Competencies Strong development skills in Python, C#, AWS, and SQL. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in object-oriented programming and data modeling. Experience with both Waterfall and Agile development methodologies. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in the finance domain.
