We are looking for a driver to be part of the Five Star Laundry Team in Portland, OR.

Position Summary Responsible for driving to and from designated locations, transporting soiled linen and delivering clean linen products to hotel customers, while verifying loads and adhering to state and Federal Regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate delivery trucks of various models and gross vehicle weights.
Load clean linen carts into trucks, checking to ensure accuracy of load against the delivery ticket.
Drive trucks to specified hotel and/or hospital properties and unload clean linen carts as well as assist hotel or hospital personnel in delivery to designated areas.
Tag and identify soiled linen carts using proper techniques to ensure that no cross‑contamination occurs; load truck and return items to laundry and unload into designated areas as specified by Production Manager.
Complete safety inspection of truck prior to every delivery.
Maintain appearance of the truck by not eating, smoking or littering when inside the vehicle at any time; also responsible for ensuring that the truck has a full gas tank.
Complete trip sheets accurately to reflect all stops, number of carts delivered, number of carts retrieved and breaks.
Assist scalers and linen distribution by positioning carts in appropriate area and placing plastic liners over carts as required.
Communicate customer concerns or complaints promptly to Production Manager on duty or to Transportation Manager.
Maintain truck by regularly cleaning cab area, exterior and sanitizing interior of truck after returning soiled laundry carts to ULS.
Able to push/pull carts loaded with linen weighing approximately 550 pounds.
Able to correctly and safely operate truck lift gate and back up trucks into tight places.
Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the safe operations of a commercial motor vehicle.
Professional representation of the Company and the trucking industry through responsible driving and appearance.
Drivers must comply with all Customers’ safety and delivery requirements.
Ability to pass a drug test.
Qualifications and Skills
Must possess a valid Driver’s License.
Position requires high school diploma or equivalent.
Must be able to work independently and follow instructions.
Must complete Safe Driver orientation.
Able to understand and complete simple math functions.
Must be able to follow maps or directions to meet destination in a safe and efficient manner.
Able to understand and complete basic math.
Work Hours
May include working on the weekends or during holidays.
Physical and Mental Requirements
Assigned duties are accomplished primarily driving the truck in an industrial setting.
Able to correctly and safely operate truck lift gate and back‑up trucks into tight places.
Able to push/pull cars loaded with linen weighing up to 550 pounds.
May be exposed to heat/cold and distracting noise levels in an industrial setting.
