Role Description This is a contracted remote role for a Sports Social Media Manager. In this role, you will create high-impact sports carousel posts, clip and edit live sports moments in real time, and manage multiple social platforms to build engagement and authority for our clients. You must understand the cultural pulse of sports—memes, storylines, inside jokes, rivalries, and trending narratives—so every piece of content feels native to true sports fans. This role demands speed, creativity, accuracy, and elite sports IQ—it is not for someone slow or unfamiliar with sports. Responsibilities Watching live sports games and clipping/posting moments as they happen Creating optimized sports carousel graphics and breakdown-style content Editing fast-paced short‑form videos directly on your phone using CapCut Executing and iterating social media strategies across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube Analyzing performance data and adapting content in real time Ensuring all content aligns with each brand’s voice, goals, and sports culture Qualifications Deep sports knowledge — particularly NBA/NFL, including memes, narratives, trending topics, and fan culture Experience making carousel content for sports or creator-focused pages Extremely fast CapCut editing skills on mobile; must be able to post during live games Proficiency in Social Media Marketing and SMO Strong abilities in content strategy, writing, captioning, and adapting to sports trends Ability to analyze social performance metrics and quickly optimize content Preferred: experience in sports social media and similar scope of work Exceptional communication skills for team coordination and client-facing interactions Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure sports environment Degree in Marketing, Communications, Sports Media, or related field preferred but not required Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at The Content Code by 2x.
