Mechanical Estimator – Primoris Services Corporation Join a leading EPC powerhouse as a Mechanical Estimator, where you’ll develop accurate, insight-driven estimates that shape major industrial projects. You’ll dig into P&IDs, assess mechanical piping and equipment installation scopes, collaborate closely with proposal and engineering teams, and help deliver competitive, high-quality bids. If you’re a detail-oriented mechanical professional with strong analytical skills and EPC estimating experience, this role puts you at the center of project success.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze bid documents and conditions to determine scope of work.

Quantify mechanical piping work scope from P&IDs and create detailed pipe estimates.

Provide engineered equipment installation estimates.

Research and understand construction sequences for equipment erection.

Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.

Identify risks during estimates and determine proper mitigation plans.

Evaluate various factors that influence productivity and develop accurate forecasts to assist management in making decisions.

Collaborate with the proposal team to ensure all client requirements are satisfied.

Request and obtain current pricing for bulk materials from suppliers.

Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals.

Attend pre-bid meetings and job walks.

Skills And Qualifications

5–10 years in industrial construction.

Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction processes.

Familiarity with the EPC contracting process, including bidding and pricing strategies.

Ability to work in a team environment and be self‑motivated.

Positive attitude and excellent motivation skills.

Detail‑oriented with the ability to multitask.

Strong interpersonal skills to interface with owner representatives, engineering firms, subcontractors, other team members, and senior management.

Strong analytical and financial analysis skills.

Proficiency in construction estimating software, Bluebeam, MS Project, Excel, and Word.

Knowledgeable in Primavera.

Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related is preferred.

Compensation / Benefits

Annual salary range of $140–$175k commensurate with education, experience and skillset.

Paid company holidays.

Paid PTO.
