Associate, diploma, or baccalaureate degree in nursing required. Must be licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Arkansas. Must maintain a valid driver's license in Arkansas and automobile liability insurance.
Two years of patient care nursing experience preferred, with one year in a hospice or community setting. Prior experience in Med/Surgery, Oncology, Home Health, or Hospice desirable.
Physical: Driving is part of job responsibilities. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Uses diabetic home monitoring, BP, thermometers, IV therapy equipment/sq, standard DME, beepers, telephone, automobile. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending. Lifting, pushing/pulling up to 250 lbs. Carrying up to 40 lbs.

JOB SUMMARY: Provides direct nursing care and assesses the patient’s condition and nursing needs of the terminally ill patient; sets goals; prescribes appropriate nursing actions to meet those goals of the physical and psychological needs of the patient and family. Able to function independently and as a member of an interdisciplinary team. Shares on call to provide 24‑hour availability for patients and families. The RN will serve as a role model for nursing assistants and students by demonstrating clinical competence and leadership. The RN must promote good public relations for the unit, the nursing division, and the medical center while maintaining patient confidentiality.
