The Staff Pharmacist will prepare and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient populations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while maintaining high patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense medications per prescriptions and regulations. Provide drug therapy consultation. Ensure compliance with hospital policies. Monitor medication use and manage inventory. Educate patients on proper medication use. Maintain accurate pharmacy records. Qualifications:
Education & Certification: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) required. Active Registered Pharmacist (NYS) license or eligibility required. Experience: 2+ years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience required. Residency training and Epic software experience preferred. Retail pharmacy experience is a plus. Skills: Knowledge of pharmacology and medication management. Proficiency in pharmacy software. Strong communication and attention to detail. Primary Shift:
2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Secondary Shifts:
1:00 PM to 9:30 PM and 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM Must-Have Requirements:
2+ years inpatient hospital pharmacy experience. Current NY state pharmacist license or ability to obtain. Willingness to work evening shifts onsite.
