The Foreman is responsible for leading the crew and operating equipment to install utilities. The Foreman will supervise and assist with all aspects such as safety, team management, equipment operation, field paperwork, training, and occasional labor duties.

Physical and Environmental Factors

Ability to travel and be away from home for extended periods.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Responsible for meeting or exceeding all safety, quality and productivity requirements.

Leads, directs, and mentors crews to ensure on‑time completion while meeting financial and non‑financial objectives.

Responsible for staffing projects, recruiting, retaining employees and promoting career advancement.

Manages employee relations, recognizes, disciplines, and performs performance evaluations.

Recommends additional subcontractors for approval.

Initiates training and cross‑training for personnel to become experts.

Conducts daily scheduling and takes corrective action to meet deadlines.

Monitors overall project performance and resolves issues regarding safety, productivity and quality.

Approves employee timecards and prepares required production reports.

Performs daily preventative maintenance on construction equipment and reports issues.

Reports weekly to the Fleet Manager on equipment hours, miles, etc.

Abides by all company and manufacturer safety procedures, OSHA, and applicable regulations.

Builds positive relationships with crew, customers, and subcontractors.

Conducts daily crew tool‑talk meetings to identify safety, quality, and productivity improvements.

Performs routine labor and operates equipment.

Hauls equipment to and around the project site.

Represents PUSH, Inc. professionally.

Identifies and implements continuous improvement processes.

Other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience

Work Experience:

Two (2) years of supervisory experience within a utility construction setting. Demonstrated field experience with digging operations in city and rural areas and operating equipment such as backhoe/loader, excavator, cable plow, and compact track loader with attachments.

Requirements

Valid Driver’s License, Class A CDL preferred.

Must be able to pass pre‑employment screenings.

Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead teams.

Must work well with others and participate on a crew.

Computer literate and experienced with Microsoft and Google G Suite.

Ability to read, comprehend, and prepare all project‑related work reports.
