SUMMARY
We are a leading federal construction contractor delivering mission‑critical projects for the U.S. military and other federal agencies. Our CONS General Construction group is known for precision, safety, and quality - with a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and excellence. We are seeking a multi‑talented construction leader to serve as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, and Site Safety & Health Officer (SSHO) on select projects.
This is a key field leadership role responsible for on‑site construction execution, quality control compliance, and safety oversight. You will lead crews and subcontractors, ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets, enforce safety protocols, and maintain quality standards that exceed client expectations. This is a hands‑on leadership position where you will set the tone for safety, quality, and productivity from day one.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct day‑to‑day site operations, ensuring work is completed
safely, on time, and within budget .
Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to maintain workflow efficiency.
Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance.
Maintain accurate daily reports, as‑built drawings, and project documentation.
Quality Control Management
Develop and implement
project‑specific Quality Control Plans .
Perform inspections, testing, and documentation to verify compliance with specifications, codes, and contract requirements.
Lead three‑phase inspection processes (Preparatory, Initial, and Follow‑Up).
Address non‑conformance issues promptly and implement corrective actions.
Safety & Health Oversight (SSHO Duties)
Implement and maintain the
Site Safety & Health Plan
in accordance with EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA, and project requirements.
Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks.
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
Monitor compliance with PPE use, hazard controls, and safe work practices.
QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years' experience in construction supervision for
federal projects
(NAVFAC, USACE, or similar).
Working knowledge of
EM 385‑1‑1, OSHA 29 CFR 1926 , and federal QC standards.
Strong leadership, communication, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
OSHA 30
and current
First Aid/CPR/AED
certifications.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel to CONUS project sites.
PREFERRED
USACE/NAVFAC
Construction Quality Management for Contractors
certification.
Past experience serving in
combined Superintendent/QC/SSHO roles .
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
Experience with RMS 3.0, eCMS or similar QC documentation systems.
