Position Summary
Under general supervision, the Nuclear Materials Control & Accountability (NMC&A) Specialist provides support to the NMC&A program, including item monitoring, processing of paperwork, data entry, accounting support, procedure revision and other duties as assigned.
What You Will Be Doing
Enters nuclear material transaction receipts and related paperwork are properly entered into accounting records and reported
Revises and implements procedure changes in accordance with programmatic and management guidance as needed to support program needs
Revise the Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP) as directed by management to establish nuclear material safeguards for changing plant processes and configurations
Provides training on NMC&A topics per management direction
Prepares and reviews correspondence and data being sent to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and Nuclear Materials Management and Safeguards System (NMMSS)
Input, track, and complete actions and subtasks in a corrective action tracking system
Maintains knowledge of and demonstrates ability to perform work safely in accordance with all approved safety policies, procedures and applicable regulations and performs assigned duties in a safe manner

We'd Love to Hear from Candidates With
Associate’s degree in a technical or administrative field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Requires proficient computer skills, such as but not limited to, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Adobe to process records and generate reports, charts, spreadsheets, and presentations
Working knowledge of project scheduling applications
Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance
Stronger Candidates Will Have
Preference given to candidates currently possessing a “Q” or “L” clearance
Previous experience in NMC&A program
Previous experienceat NRC or DOE regulated site
BS-Science or Technical Education
Military Experience

This position will require a pre-employment background check and a pre-employment drug test.

This position will require preemployment background check on the part of the Company and in order to receive a Q security clearance, a background investigation by the Federal government. Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.
