Homestead provides care in a Senior Living Facility in Northville and is hiring a Resident Care Supervisor who will act as a key point of contact for residents, business leaders, managers, and families to ensure that company goals and milestones are met.
The supervisor will lead the caregivers with a positive attitude and respond to all the needs of the residents. This is an on‑call position. Must have good communication skills with all levels of staff and management. Previous experience caring for seniors and managing care staff is a requirement. This position will be helping our dementia residents. Love for seniors is a must!
Responsibilities:
Maintain employee files
Review shift supervisor checklists
Cover open shifts as needed, including call offs. Keep on‑call phone
Assist residents with care dressing, bathing and toileting
Follow up on issues, review 24‑hour logs – corrective actions for med errors, absences, etc.
Assess any care complaints
Payroll – review for missed punches, missed lunches etc. and follow up
Enter shift pick‑ups and shift trades
Create schedules for staff and prepare shift assignments
Schedule and interview applicants
Conduct QA audits, review incident reports/med errors and put interventions/training in place – involve nurse as necessary
Meet with each new admit to discuss needs and expectations, audit of med waiver and private pay charting, updates to med waiver counselors, med cart audit every other week
Order clinical supplies
Conduct monthly care audit on all resident assistants, conduct monthly med pass audit on all med techs
Ensure government forms are completed and correct

Qualifications:
Prior experience managing a senior living facility (2 years). Dementia unit is a plus
Able to be on‑call for all three shifts, as needed
Ability to handle multiple priorities effectively and delegate responsibilities to the appropriate individuals
Excellent written and verbal skills for effective communication and the ability to facilitate small group presentations
Proficient in organizational, time management skills
Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision‑making skills
Demonstration of proficiency in computer skills
Ability to work weekends, evenings and flexible hours as needed for resident care/services, must be available to our residents at peak service times and as needed
