Position Overview We are seeking an experienced

Income Tax Provision Consultant

to assist with quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in corporate income tax accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting for U.S. GAAP. This role will support the tax department in preparing accurate tax provisions, analyzing deferred tax assets/liabilities, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review

quarterly and annual income tax provisions

in accordance with ASC 740.

Calculate and analyze

current and deferred tax balances , including valuation allowances.

Assist with

FIN 48 (uncertain tax positions)

analysis and documentation.

Support

tax account reconciliations , journal entries, and reporting for financial statements.

Collaborate with external auditors during quarterly and year-end reviews.

Research and resolve tax accounting issues and provide technical guidance on complex transactions.

Assist with

state and federal income tax compliance

and provision-to-return true-up adjustments.

Ensure compliance with

SOX controls

and maintain documentation for internal audits.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree

in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MST preferred.

5+ years of corporate income tax experience , including ASC 740 provisions.

Knowledge of

U.S. GAAP tax accounting

and federal/state income tax regulations preferred.

Proficiency in

OneSource Tax Provision, CorpTax, or similar tax software .

Advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) a plus.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

Public accounting (Big 4 or regional firm) and/or large corporate tax department experience.

Exposure to

international tax provisions

and foreign entity reporting.

Familiarity with

SOX compliance

and internal control frameworks.
