Sales Representative III POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for the sales and service of Salerno Packaging Inc, using technical, organizational and customer knowledge to assist customers in applying our products to their needs. In addition, the position provides input and participates in the design, product development, modification and technical development of products as per customer specifications and Salerno Packaging capabilities. This position will be based out of Plattsburgh, NY.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Demonstrated organizational skills, ability to multi-task and attention to detail is required.

Technical knowledge of the plastics industry as it pertains to extrusion, printing and converting required.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent oral/written communication skills.

Moderately developed sales skills with well-developed presentation and customer relations skills.

Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.

Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Make sales contacts, research customer needs and develop application of products and services in an effective manner

Determine market strategies & goals for each product and service

Conduct market research to determine customer needs

Participate in development of new products, modification of existing products and termination of ineffective products

Evaluate product marketability in terms of customers' technical & manufacturing needs

Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets

Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to increased sales

Work with Vice President/Chief Sales Officer, members of the Salerno Sales team and production management to establish communication path with the customer

Develop and deliver sales presentations and close sales in a professional manner

Develop and deliver technical presentations

Meet established sales quotas and revenue goals

Participate in sales forecasting and planning

Resolve customer questions and/or problems

Special projects as assigned
