Lead Deli Clerk , you'll be the mastermind behind the daily prep, presentation, and care of our Chop Shoppe-keeping everything crisp, clean, safe, and irresistibly delicious. You'll guide product prep, rotation, and restocking like a pro while keeping our guests smiling and our department running smoothly. Chop Shoppe & Salad Bar Preparation & Presentation
Prepare, cut, portion, and package fresh ingredients according to established recipes, production lists, and food safety standards. Ensure the salad bar is fully stocked, visually appealing, and maintained to company quality standards throughout the day. Monitor product quality and freshness; remove and replace items that do not meet standards. Label, date, and rotate products to ensure proper first-in, first-out procedures. Food Safety & Sanitation
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary Chop Shoppe and salad bar area, prep spaces, and equipment in compliance with state and company food safety requirements. Complete temperature checks, product logs, and cleaning checklists accurately and on schedule. Ensure all utensils, containers, and serving equipment are properly sanitized and in good working order. Guest Experience
Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service by answering guest questions and providing recommendations. Engage with guests to highlight featured products, seasonal items, and promotions to enhance their shopping experience. Maintain visually appealing, guest-focused merchandising to draw guest interest and support sales. Address guest concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues as needed. Operational Support & Team Leadership
Provide day-to-day leadership and support for the Salad Bar and Chop Shoppe areas, ensuring all tasks are completed according to established standards for quality, safety, and efficiency. Coordinate workflow, prioritize tasks, and communicate production needs to ensure consistent product availability and timely prep. Partner with department leadership to communicate issues, suggest improvements, and support the execution of promotions, merchandising plans, and seasonal offerings. Lead by example by demonstrating strong work habits, adherence to company policies, and a commitment to exceptional product quality and guest experience.
