Job description The Sales Manager (North America) drives sales and marketing initiatives by managing customer accounts, identifying and developing new business opportunities, promoting products and services, and ensuring profitability through maintaining sales margins.

The Sales Manager will have responsibility for achieving the sales targets established by Safran Aerosystems Services for their assigned region (US & Canada) and / or customer base (see below). The position will assist Safran Aerosystems Services Marketing team and the Safran Group OEM's in developing the after-market sales strategy and goals to grow Safran Aerosystems Services business with Commercial Operators, MROs, and other customers.

The position supports the sales and marketing efforts through sourcing, obtaining and developing business, sales of Safran products and services, and special projects as assigned.

The successful candidate should be familiar with the North American market aviation sector and their various world of operations, along with key business skills allowing for success.

This position is based in Peachtree City, GA.

Examples of key accounts that could be assigned to this position (not complete and subject to change): Air Canada, Boeing Distribution, Delta Airlines, Fed Ex, Porter Airlines, Sun Country WestJet.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time.

Collect and analyze market intelligence, define customer requirements, and direct independent sales representatives where assigned in close cooperation with the other sales managers, the marketing team, and the different departments in Safran Aerosystems Services Americas and OEM of the Safran Group.

Achieves sales objectives by pursuing various commercial sales leads established either by Safran Aerosystems Services Americas or Safran Group OEM's.

Establish action plans for major sales and lead business acquisition teams to capture sales opportunities utilizing Salesforce.com to track and report progress on opportunity pursuit.

Sustain rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits, exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities.

Participates in formulating and developing long-range sales goals, objectives and budget.

Develops business objectives, strategies, and plans to maximize the value of Safran Aerosystems Services to the assigned Customer account(s).

Explores for new business with current and new customers, to meet defined sales goals of product and service. Creates and submits reports of progress and achievements on a bi-weekly basis and through Salesforce.com.

Promotes sales and engage in discussions/negotiations with major operators and the end customers/users as requested by the account.
