Washington Trust is looking for a dynamic experienced
Commercial Real Estate Lender
with a focus on the Connecticut Market to join our CRE lending team. This position will become part of a collaborative, results-oriented team focused on providing commercial real estate lending products and services to new and existing customers of The Washington Trust Company. We offer a hybrid work schedule with on-site work in our New Haven and Westerly, RI offices. Responsibilities: Develop and service a growing commercial real estate loan portfolio by establishing and supporting a robust calling plan. Maintain relationships with existing customers, prospects, and referral sources to achieve loan and deposit production goals while ensuring compliance with credit policies and procedures and established standards. Position Requirements: 7+ years of commercial real estate lending experience with an established network of customers and referral sources, including construction and permanent loans. Comprehensive understanding of commercial real estate, knowledge in various real estate asset classes and market conditions. Possess superior credit, customer service, and negotiation skills, as well as having a strong general bank product and services knowledge. Experience building relationships through networking and proven high customer service standards. Strong business writing and professional communication skills are required. Ability to work well within a team environment. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field, or relevant experience.
