Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Executive Vice President / Chief Credit Officer, the Senior Credit Officer will underwrite and approve/deny traditional, large, complex, agribusiness and commercial loans by providing comprehensive credit underwriting. This position analyzes loan participations and works with borrowers to restructure stressed loans. Duties include: Analyzing large and complex loan application packages Working closely with loan officer and branch staff to assure proper credit administration Analysis of capital markets and participation loans Knowledge and Skills: Expert knowledge in credit analysis and regulatory requirements Working knowledge of legal documents related to collateral, mortgages and foreclosures Working knowledge of finance and microeconomics General knowledge of agriculture best practices Working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in finance, agriculture, business or related field 5 years of related experience in credit analysis or underwriting or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job Previous experience with large and complex credits including large participation and capital market loans required Farm Credit Southeast Missouri offers a great work environment with competitive compensation and a generous benefits package.
