Our Client is seeking a skilled and experienced Tax Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with knowledge in tax preparation and management. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to assist in leading the tax department and provide guidance to both clients and team members. Oversee and manage all aspects of tax preparation and compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients, including individuals, corporations, partnerships, and non-profit organizations. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations. Review and approve tax returns prepared by staff members, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines. Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, fostering their professional development and enhancing the overall quality of work produced by the tax department. Stay current with changes in tax laws, regulations, and industry trends, and communicate relevant updates to the team and clients. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide well-reasoned solutions and recommendations. Collaborate with other departments, such as audit and advisory, to provide comprehensive services to clients. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters. Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient and profitable delivery of services. Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations Proficiency in tax preparation software Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities
