Business Development Representative
We are a top beverage sales company looking for a proven sales professional to out-hustle the competition and help make our local bars, grocery stores, and restaurants successful with their beverage choices. Our Business Development Representatives love our diverse portfolio, building relationships and creating growth opportunities for our customers, and sharing their sales and product knowledge with our sales team.

Our Business Development Representatives sell beverages to customers with growth potential while working directly with our sales team as a mentor and additional resource in the market. We choose Business Development Representatives who will be seen as a leader, have a passion for sales, are goal-oriented, problem-solvers and are determined to take risks and win. This full‑time position requires previous sales experience, advanced beverage knowledge, availability Monday‑Friday and you must currently reside or be willing to relocate to the Metro Detroit area.

A Day in the Life
Using an iPad, review the sales plan for the day.
Create a plan for each stop, including product samples and deciding which products could help each account succeed.
Grab an energy drink, start driving to your first account.
Greet the purchaser/manager at the account, including local chain buyers.
Work your product in the account (fill shelves, rotate, check backstock, track replenishment needs).
Discuss ideas and get approval for replenishment and new product placement from the purchaser/manager.
Upload the orders.
Repeat the process several times per day, sometimes while mentoring an Account Manager.
Manage the transfer of newly developed customers to their regular Account Manager.
Additional Opportunities
Rewrite beer, wine or cocktail lists with accounts.
Sample and learn about products with our suppliers.
Hand‑sell products to consumers at beer or wine dinners.
Volunteer at local festivals.
Assist with store resets.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent education and experience) in Sales and Business Marketing.
5+ years of experience with beverage sales and/or Direct Store Delivery (DSD).
Advanced knowledge of beer, wine and spirits.
21 years of age or older.
Must live in the assigned market.
Reliable vehicle.
Flexibility to work varying hours to accommodate customer needs and special events.
Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with various types of people.
Desire to stay up‑to‑date on industry trends and product knowledge.
Ability to attain a Michigan Liquor Control Commission license.
Salary: $75,200 per year.
