Service Advisor: Express - Austin Subaru Being an Austin Subaru Express Service Advisor provides you with the opportunity to be a part of a thriving, engaging, and positive atmosphere. As an advisor you will create an experience that leaves the client satisfied by meeting and surpassing their expectations. Your role will require you to maintain an organized process while satisfying multiple customers, clearly communicating, managing priorities, and following up resulting in satisfied and loyal customers. Our Express Advisors are sure to keep our customers happy while getting their car through the shop and back on the road as quickly as possible. They also create the right expectations and provide outstanding service, in the busiest of times and in the slowest of times.

Essential Duties

Advises Customers About Necessary Service For Routine Maintenance.

Helps identify a mechanical problem by questioning the customer or doing a visual inspection or road test.

Confers with customers about inspection results, recommend corrective procedures, and prepare work orders for needed repairs.

Prepares a repair order showing time, cost and labor estimates for service.

Writes a brief description of the customer's concern on the repair order to help the technician locate the problem.

Explains the work performed and the repair order charges to the customer.

Handles customer complaints.

Greets customers in a timely, friendly manner and obtains vehicle information using an i-pad.

Refers to service history, inspects vehicles, and recommends additional needed service.

Advise customers on the care of their cars and the value of maintaining their vehicles in accordance with manufacturers' specifications.

Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts.

Establishes “promised time.”

Obtains customer's signature on repair order; provides customer with a copy.

Establishes customer's method of payment. Obtains credit approval, if necessary.

Checks on progress of repair throughout the day. Contacts customers regarding any changes in the estimate or promised time, explains cost and time requirements in detail, and gets proper authorization before any additional repairs are performed.

Reviews repair orders to ensure that work is completed and additional work and authorization is noted. Closes repair order as appropriate.

Maintains high customer satisfaction standards.

Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process.

Inspects all vehicles for body work.

Maintains a professional appearance.

Keeps the work area clean.

Qualifications

Professional

Customer service oriented

Driven in sales AND customer satisfaction

Excellent with communication skills

Prompt

Ready to put in long hours

Willing to work Saturdays, Sundays and evenings

Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year

Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered

Compensation

Commission + Bonuses

$20/hour training pay for the first 2 pay periods

Hours

Available to work 10 hour shifts with a 5-day workweek

Weekend availability required
