Location NYC/NJ (remote-first, occasional in-office required) About the Role We are seeking a highly creative, strategic, and trend‑obsessed Social Media Manager to own and scale ESW Beauty’s social presence across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, and emerging platforms. This role is ideal for someone who lives and breathes beauty, understands the nuances of short‑form content, and knows how to translate brand storytelling into high‑performing, platform‑native content. As the Social Media Manager, you will develop and execute our social strategy, produce and edit content, manage our influencer and creator partnerships, support community engagement, and play a key role in building brand awareness and affinity. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with Creative, Design, Sales, and Marketing to support product launches, retailer marketing initiatives, events, and brand campaigns. Due to the real‑time nature of social media, product launches, and industry events, this role requires flexibility and is not a traditional 9–5 position. You must be available for weeknight and weekend work as needed for events, shoots, content capture, creator collaborations, and timely social moments. This position is perfect for someone with 6–8 years of experience in beauty, CPG, lifestyle, or social‑first brands, with a proven track record of growing social channels, managing influencer programs, and producing compelling video content. Key Responsibilities Content Strategy & Execution Develop and own ESW Beauty’s social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest Build monthly content calendars and platform‑specific plans aligned with launches, campaigns, holidays, and retailer rollouts Ideate, script, film, and edit short‑form content that feels native to each platform Capture lifestyle, BTS, founder, and product content to support storytelling Maintain and evolve the brand’s social media voice, aesthetic, and tone Influencer & Creator Partnerships Lead ESW Beauty’s influencer strategy across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with creators, influencers, and UGC partners Manage outreach, gifting, seeding, negotiations, and content coordination Build influencer briefs, review submitted content, and ensure deliverables align with brand guidelines Track performance, engagement, EMV, KPIs, and campaign outcomes Support paid creator collaborations and negotiate usage rights when needed Collaborate with the Marketing team to amplify top‑performing creator content and integrate into campaigns Community Management & Engagement Oversee daily community management across all platforms Respond to DMs, comments, UGC, and brand mentions in an on‑brand manner Cultivate an engaged and loyal beauty‑loving community Monitor sentiment and gather customer insights Campaigns, Launches & Cross‑Functional Collaboration Support creative direction and execution for major product launches, retailer activations, and seasonal campaigns Partner with Marketing & Design on content days, shoots, and asset development Collaborate with Sales on retailer content needs (Target, Walgreens, Whole Foods, etc.) Manage social coverage for events, photoshoots, and brand activations Analytics & Optimization Track performance metrics across all platforms; report weekly and monthly results Identify high‑performing content pillars and iterate based on insights Stay ahead of trends, platform changes, cultural moments, and competitive activity Test new formats, editing styles, hooks, and posting strategies to maximize engagement and growth Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field 6-8 years of social media experience at a beauty, CPG, wellness, or lifestyle brand Proven track record managing influencer programs, creator partnerships, and/or UGC pipelines Strong experience with short‑form video creation (TikTok, Reels, Shorts) Deep understanding of beauty, skincare, and Gen Z/Millennial consumer trends Skilled in filming, editing (CapCut, Adobe, etc.), and copywriting Strong aesthetic sensibility and familiarity with beauty content styles Excellent communication, project management, and organization skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment Must be available for in‑office collaboration at our NJ location and required in‑person events in NJ / NYC such as photoshoots, activations, or comp shopping Job Information Full‑Time Role Compensation: $90K+ based on experience + bonus Location: Hybrid — must be based in the NJ/NYC area and able to commute to our New Jersey office (when requested) Benefits Competitive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with 4% employer match 80 hours of PTO + Volunteer Time Off 11 Paid Holidays Employee discount Opportunity to attend industry events, shoots, influencer activations, and brand experiences #J-18808-Ljbffr
