Inclusion Aide
The Elmhurst Park District, established in 1920 and located 16 miles west of Chicago, provides parks, recreation facilities and programs to meet our mission of enriching lives while having fun. We have an exciting seasonal job opportunity as an Inclusion Aide with our Recreation department for summer of 2026! As an Inclusion Aide, you will play a key role in assisting children and adults with disabilities to participate in recreational programs in a safe and fun environment! This includes assisting our participants with activities and provide accommodations as needed. What you'll bring: Some knowledge and experience working with children and adults with disabilities. Willingness to learn to better the experience of our participants. When you'll work: Work schedules vary! We are currently looking for Inclusion Aides to work during the summer 10-week season. Hours can vary between 4-40 hours depending on your availability and programming needs. Scheduling is assigned at the beginning of each program season, yet hours are flexible and can be adjusted per season. Reliable transportation is required to ensure attendance at all scheduled programs. When committing to work in a program you must be able to work all program dates for the entire season. What you'll get: The anticipated starting pay for this $16.50 per hour, depending on experience. This position falls under Pay Grade E with a pay range of $15.00 - $20.00.
