Electrical Assembly Technician
This position is available on the 1st shift, with working hours from Monday to Thursday, and Fridays may include overtime which is confirmed on Wednesday mornings. We currently have four openings in different departments, including the Wire Department and DC Department. Responsibilities
In the Wire Department, collaborate with mold technicians to create wire groupings, pull wires, couple them, and spool the wire. This role is physically demanding. In the DC Department, set up jobs for the day, prepare panel boxes, switchboards, and wires for assembly. Work involves assembling solar panel power boxes and switchboards in a large, clean, and quiet manufacturing facility. Pull and spool wires, read prints to determine part assembly locations, and work as a team on a non-automated assembly line. Use hand tools, air power tools, and torque wrenches to screw in components, strip wires into metal plates, and assemble power boxes. Expected to assemble 64 panels per day after training. Work in a clean facility performing manual labor with lifting requirements up to 40 lbs. Collaborate with a team on the assembly line and during wire spooling. Enjoy a super casual environment with a dress code requiring shirts with sleeves and steel toe boots. Bone-conducting headphones are allowed during work. Safety glasses and gloves are provided if needed. The facility has fans and is not temperature controlled, with small teams of roughly 4-6 people, totaling 20 on the first shift. We are currently building a 3rd shift and welcome referrals. Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Grand Rapids, MI. Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
