CNC Mill Machinist - Miramar
We are seeking a skilled Mill Machinist to operate CNC Mills within a dynamic machine shop environment. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects involving high-temperature and exotic metals, ensuring precise machining to meet customer specifications. Responsibilities Set-up, verify, and operate 3rd, 4th, and 5th axis CNC mills to machine complex parts according to customer requirements. Read and interpret blueprints to understand product specifications. Monitor machine operations to detect any problems. Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications. Utilize HAAS control, DMG/MORI FANUC based control, and CELEOS X. Work on HAAS and DMG/MORI machines. Essential Skills Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining and set-up. Proficient in milling machine operations and CNC programming codes. Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and blueprint reading. Familiarity with cutting tool feeds and speeds. Ability to set up parts independently. Understanding of true position tolerance and Cartesian coordinate systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Sound knowledge of feeds, speeds, and material removal processes. Experience working to close tolerances in a high-volume environment. Please bring a 6-inch caliper and a 1-inch micrometer. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.
