Job Summary:
Our dynamic distribution center in San Antonio, Texas, is looking for a diligent Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our team. This pivotal role ensures the efficient and accurate flow of goods into and out of our facility. As a Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments, including verifying product counts, inspecting for damage, accurately documenting all transactions, and preparing goods for dispatch. You'll work closely with carriers, warehouse staff, and internal departments to ensure seamless operations. Your duties will involve operating forklifts and pallet jacks, using RF scanners for inventory tracking, and maintaining an organized dock area. This role demands attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina is required, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds, standing for extended periods, and bending. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies and report any issues.
- Accurately document all incoming and outgoing shipments using the WMS.
- Stage outgoing shipments for carriers, ensuring correct labeling and loading.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping and receiving area.
- Collaborate with carriers, drivers, and internal teams to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Properly use and maintain all required PPE .
- Support overall warehouse logistics and operational efficiency.
- Regularly perform lifting tasks up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners.
- Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Capability for lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of basic logistics and supply chain principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the correct use of PPE .
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
