Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders.
- Process outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy in order fulfillment, packaging, and labeling.
- Operate shipping software to create labels, track shipments, and manage documentation.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through diligent data entry and stock counts.
- Organize warehouse space to ensure efficient flow of materials and products.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Operate material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts) safely and effectively.
- Communicate with internal departments and external partners regarding shipment status and discrepancies.
- Perform general warehouse duties to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or general warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proficiency with shipping software and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Experience operating material handling equipment is a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
