About the Position: Our client, a prominent global Am Law 100 firm, is actively seeking a real estate lawyer with a focus on capital markets/securitization matters to join its Chicago office as an associate. This firm’s Real Estate Finance team advises major domestic and international lenders and borrowers on large, complex and cross-border financings, including senior debt, mezzanine financing, CMBS, securitizations and development finance, giving lawyers client-facing, market-defining work and exposure to high-value transactions across the capital stack.

Responsibilities

• Represent institutions, investors, and private companies in all aspects of real estate capital markets
• Assist clients with a wide range of transactional matters, including structuring of real estate related joint ventures, ongoing fund operational matters, and GP-led secondary transactions
• Interact with a variety of clients including master servicer, special servicers, commercial banks, and lenders on various securitization, real estate and finance matters

Required Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience with a broad range of commercial real estate transactions, including real estate finance, and capital markets matters, with a focus on securitization matters
• Excellent academic credentials and writing skills

Compensation

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $215,000 – $235,000.
