Key Impact Areas at Schell Creek
Achieve Bid Accuracy: Deliver comprehensive, timely, and competitive estimates for Commercial, Industrial, and Public Works projects.
Lead Value Engineering: Collaborate with internal design teams, engineers, and clients to identify optimal cost-saving alternatives that maintain Schell Creek's standard of quality.
Manage Subcontractor Partnerships: Develop and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with Northern Nevada vendors and subs, soliciting and evaluating competitive proposals.
Drive Project Feasibility: Partner with the executive team to analyze market trends and material costs, providing critical financial counsel for Go/No-Go decisions on new work.
What You Must Bring (Must-Have Skills)
5+ years of experience in General Contractor (GC) estimating for commercial and/or industrial projects (ideally $5M+).
Expert proficiency with industry-standard estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Assemble).
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate conceptual, schematic, and design-development phase estimates.
Deep understanding of commercial construction means, methods, and building systems in the Nevada market.
