The successful candidate will play a key role in fostering a fair and respectful workplace by partnering with Human Resources colleagues to address dynamic employee relations situations. As a member of the Employee Relations Center of Excellence, the ER Advisor provides advice, consultation, and guidance to create sustainable solutions for individual employee matters and organizational challenges./ppKey responsibilities include:/pulliConduct thorough investigations into employee relations matters, providing fair and objective recommendations for resolution/liliCollaborate with HR partners and management to address workplace issues and concerns with sensitivity and respect/liliInterpret and apply company policies and procedures, while considering relevant employment laws, to maintain compliance and manage risks, and ensure a fair and inclusive work environment/liliProvide consultative expertise to stakeholders on corrective actions, employment separations, performance management, conflict resolution, and policies/procedures/liliIdentify trends and root causes of recurring issues, using analytical skills and insights/liliPartner closely with stakeholders to develop comprehensive solutions and proactive strategies for effectively handling sensitive and complex employee relations matters and addressing organizational trends/liliPromote proactive and positive employee relations practices across the organization to enhance the overall employee experience/liliStay informed about changes in employment law and industry best practices to proactively address potential issues and fosters a fair and respectful workplace for all/li/ulpA successful candidate will have:/pulliA proven track record as a trusted advisor and consultant to business and HR leadership in providing to provide effective advice and consulting on workplace matters/liliThe ability to establish strong, collaborative relationships at all levels and across functions within the organization/liliExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with an emphasis on empathy, respect, consultation, and a strategic mindset/liliDemonstrated judgement and sound decision-making, and be detail-oriented, highly organized/liliProven success and enjoyment operating in a fast paced/high volume work environment; ability to remain composed and neutral under pressure/liliStrong project and time management skills with ability to multi-task and manage multiple matters simultaneously/li/ulpBasic Qualifications:/pulliBachelors degree and 5 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations OR a Masters degree and 3 years of experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations/liliExperience conducting investigations and advising on a wide range of employee relations issues, including manager/employee conflicts and/or complaints, managing challenging performance issues, and behavioral/ and conduct issues/liliStrong knowledge of pertinent labor/employment law as well as human resources management principles, practices, and procedures/li/ulpPreferred Qualifications:/pulliBachelors or Masters degree in human resources, employee relations, industrial/labor relations, business, or related field/liliExperience with case management and documentation systems/liliTraining in investigation and/or dispute resolution techniques/liliExperience with statistical concepts and using such information to identify trends/liliLabor relations experience/liliPrevious experience in Aerospace Defense and/or government contracting/li/ulpSalary Range: $99,900.00 - $149,900.00/ppThe above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidates experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
