Individualized Behavior Intervention Specialist , you will have a critical role in the success of assigned students by delivering individualized positive behavior intervention and support tailored to their unique needs. Your focus will be on proactive strategies to address challenging behaviors, as well as effectively responding to crisis situations using CPI techniques and behavioral interventions outlined in the students' plans. Key Responsibilities: Implement targeted behavior interventions to promote positive academic, social-emotional, and independent outcomes for assigned students. Reinforce positive student behavior and skillfully redirect negative behaviors, modeling effective strategies for classroom staff. Maintain comprehensive records related to behavior strategies and intervention plans. Collect and analyze behavioral data to monitor progress in collaboration with IEP teams. Provide guidance to classroom staff on behavior management systems. Apply principles of applied behavior analysis under a board-certified behavior analyst's direction. Conduct detailed observations for developing functional behavior assessments and creating individualized behavior intervention plans. Assist in classroom activities, managing student supervision and supporting management tasks. Provide effective crisis intervention using de-escalation techniques, prioritizing safety. Document behavioral incidents thoroughly while ensuring confidentiality. Follow universal precautions and emergency protocols strictly. Identify and report safety hazards, contributing to safety initiatives. Participate in team meetings and professional development programs. Supervise students during school-related activities as needed. Perform additional duties to enhance program excellence and organizational growth. Qualifications Required: Associate's degree or higher in behavioral sciences or a related field. Currently licensed or in the process of obtaining registration as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or similar credential. Ability to complete crisis management certification. Experience working with children in special education or behavioral health settings. Skills in working with individuals with severe learning disabilities, behavioral disorders, or emotional disturbances. Knowledge of positive behavior intervention and support (PBIS), functional behavior analysis (FBA), and behavior intervention plans (BIPs) preferred. Ability to think and act quickly under pressure.
