Mechanical Inspector
Accura Engineering and Consulting Services, Inc. is hiring a Mechanical Inspector for a full‑time position located in Nashville, TN.
Base Pay Range $60,000.00 - $80,000.00
Responsibilities
Provide construction inspection and quality assurance on multiple or complex mechanical systems projects at an international airport facility.
Conduct on‑site inspections of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems per approved construction documents, specifications, and contract requirements.
Review contractor work, inspect delivered materials, and verify certifications.
Record daily observations and report any noncompliance issues.
Coordinate and verify field testing of mechanical systems and materials.
Review and approve pay applications related to mechanical work.
Examine contractor quality control and safety manuals, procedures, and enforce safety standards.
Assess contractor submittals for constructability and project specification compliance.
Provide technical guidance on mechanical system installations, including HVAC, piping, and equipment.
Monitor contractor performance and compliance with mechanical system standards and building codes.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED (required).
Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
Minimum of 5 years construction inspection experience focused on HVAC and mechanical systems.
Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and equipment installations.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and mechanical system testing procedures.
Certifications in mechanical or HVAC systems (preferred).
Experience with airport construction projects (preferred).
