Job Summary
The IFS ERP Financial Analyst will work with finance and accounting teams in Teledyne Marine Businesses to optimize and automate business processes. The role blends project initiatives with ongoing support.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business processes and drive improvements in collaboration with the IFS Core Team and key system users.
Focus on IFS functionality: test modifications and system patches, apply system changes, and provide user training.
Support financial domains (AP, AR, GL, Projects) and additional areas as needed.
Analyze workflows, business processes, and applications to enhance, automate, and expedite improvement initiatives.
Configure, test, and troubleshoot application systems to meet business process requirements.
Consult, support, and train users on IFS application processes.
Analyze data reporting requirements, coordinate report development, and validate outputs.
Document system configurations, procedures, and create necessary documentation.
Respond to emergencies and be available for evenings and weekends when required.
Lead projects, provide user training, assist with testing, and other duties as assigned.
Travel internationally and domestically as required.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of and experience in the manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of IFS financial modules; knowledge of other IFS modules is a plus.
Basic understanding of databases and experience with SQL or similar query tools.
Strong analytical capabilities.
Experience with Query Builder and IFS Report Designer is preferred.
Ability to listen, gather, and document business requirements and translate into functional processes.
Proven ability to gain expertise in new applications.
Clear communication with IT and business teams.
Customer service focused.
Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities. Provides technical leadership to lower-level employees, including training, planning, directing work, and resolving technical issues. Collaborates with technical teams and assists the director in managing vendor relationships.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, a related field, or equivalent experience.
Five years of work experience with IFS ERP Apps10 or IFS Cloud (preferred).
Advanced knowledge and experience with IFS ERP systems.
Understanding of databases and experience with SQL or similar query tools.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio).
Knowledge of IT security concepts and best practices.
