Office of the Attorney General The Office represents the State of Florida in state and federal civil and criminal courts, from trial courts to the Supreme Court of the United States.

Pay $50,686.88 Annually

Position Summary This position is in the Florida Elections Commission in Tallahassee, Florida.

Qualifications

Five (5) years of relevant experience in law enforcement, civil investigations, fraud or white‑colar investigations, financial investigations, general research and reporting, banking, accountancy, paralegal, or government agency experience reviewing and analyzing written consumer complaints; or

An associate degree (or 60+ semester hours of college) and 3 years of relevant experience; or

A bachelor degree (or 120+ semester hours of college) and 1 year of relevant experience.

Preference will be given to applicants with experience in Florida’s election laws and reviewing bank records and financial reports.

The Work You Will Do

Conduct thorough investigations of alleged violations of Chapter 104, Section 105.071, and Chapter 106, Florida Statutes.

Interview witnesses, collect and examine records for evidentiary value, and prepare concise investigative reports.

Draft investigative plans for all assigned cases.

Process auto‑fine case appeals to the Florida Elections Commission.

Attend meetings of the Florida Elections Commission, court hearings and depositions statewide; give testimony when needed and assist staff attorneys with proceedings as required.

Perform other duties as required.
