Work Environment

The physical demands of this work are classified as medium. Work includes walking, standing for up to 4 hours without a break, frequent lifting, shelving of product, pushing/pulling a hand truck, climbing, repetitive hand and arm movements, bending, reaching, including reaching and lifting above shoulder height, along with continuous interaction with customers and coworkers. The average weight range of items lifted is 5 – 40 pounds frequently with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds occasionally. You may receive assistance with heavy items, if available. Upper extremity repetition is moderate to moderately high and trunk movement involves moderate twisting, bending, and pivoting. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction). The work environment is indoors and may involve exposure to cold (33 – 55 degrees) temperatures. Basic tools and equipment used include box cutter, labels, hand truck, power industrial truck, stock picker, stools, and ladders. ; Collective customer service experience, internally and/or externally preferably in a food service, grocery or retail setting.
