What to Expect This is a unique direct care opportunity to

provide coaching, support, and advocacy

in support of recovery from substance abuse and other mental health issues by sharing your lived experience.

Additional responsibilities include:

Facilitating wellness management and recovery with formalized approaches

such as Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP), Illness Management and Recovery (IMR), or Whole Health Action Management (WHAM).

Participating as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and providing

consultation in recovery

principles and strategies.

Utilizing assertive engagement techniques to engage clients including

motivational strategies .

What We Need From You

Must obtain the Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) within one year of hire.

Must self-identify as an individual who is in the process of recovery from a serious mental illness or be in recovery for substance abuse.

A driver’s license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
