Compensation & Reporting Pay $19.20 during training period then paid by the load. Reports to the Live Haul Supervisor/Manager.
Responsibilities
Drive live poultry from producer farm sites to the processing plant.
Humane handling and transportation of live poultry.
Complete all related documents.
Use electronic log.
Perform pre/post inspection of truck & trailer.
Scale truck (empty weight) before proceeding to the farm.
Use all necessary PPE.
Unbind cage hooks for crew to load birds.
Secure load by binding with cage hooks.
Fuel each trip and scale loaded weight.
Operate Dolly in holding shed and unhook.
Qualifications
Valid Class A CDL.
Good safety record.
Ability to do frequent heavy lifting with mechanical aptitude.
Ability to bind cages with an excess of 150 pounds of torque weight on a frequent basis.
Complete a DOT physical and drug & alcohol screen.
12 months of verifiable tractor/trailer experience.
Ability to operate a manual CMV.
