What we seek: ‘Cooking with love provides food for the soul’. We are looking for a passionate Sous Chef who will add some flavor to the culinary operations experience (Restaurant, Bar, Room Service and Events). Someone who loves food and everything that revolves around food. The Sous Chef is a leader and a team player. Someone who takes care of our guests like cooking at home for his/her own guests.

You have at least 2 years’ experience as a Senior Chef de Partie / Sous Chef, ideally in a Hotel;
You have experience in a leading role in the kitchen, having supervised a team before;
You have a degree in Culinary Arts / Food Production, or equivalent extensive on‑the‑job training;
You have good language and communication skills in English, and preferably in Dutch as well;
You know all about HACCP;
You have a flexible schedule and you do not mind working in evenings, weekends and/or holidays;
You are creative and have a hands‑on mentality;
You are legally allowed to work in the Netherlands, holding an EU/EEA passport or a valid work permit for the country (we do not assist with Visa / permit applications).
The restaurant MAMA MAKAN and its bar, as well as our Events spaces are located inside the Hyatt Regency Amsterdam. The hotel features 211 guestrooms, including 13 suites on the beautiful Sarphatistraat in Amsterdam East. A place designed around the power of meaningful connections; a place for dynamic interactions.
