Hinge
Hinge is the dating app designed to be deleted
In today's digital world, finding genuine relationships is tougher than ever. At Hinge, we’re on a mission to inspire intimate connection to create a less lonely world. We’re obsessed with understanding our users’ behaviors to help them find love, and our success is defined by one simple metric– setting up great dates. With tens of millions of users across the globe, we’ve become the most trusted way to find a relationship, for all.
About the Role We’re looking for a Lead Product Manager to join our Trust & Safety team, focused on Account Integrity. This role will be responsible for defining and executing our strategy for authentication and verification, ensuring the people on Hinge are who they say they are. You’ll design secure, seamless login and verification experiences that uphold user trust, reduce platform abuse, and align with Hinge’s mission to create intentional, meaningful relationships. You’ll collaborate cross‑functionally with partners across engineering, design, data science, operations, and other teams across the company. You’ll manage nuanced tradeoffs between user experience, security, and business impact, creating friction for bad actors while keeping the experience intuitive for our daters. This is a high‑impact, high‑autonomy role ideal for a product leader who combines technical fluency with sharp product judgment, has experience with verification systems, and thrives in ambiguous problem spaces.
Responsibilities
Own the end‑to‑end strategy and execution for authentication, identity, and verification across the Hinge platform
Expand adoption of existing verification methods while identifying and launching new, user‑friendly approaches
Partner closely with cross‑functional teammates in engineering, design, data science, and external vendors to deliver impactful experiences
Design product solutions that balance simplicity for users with the rigor needed to deter and detect policy‑violating actors
Evaluate and integrate third‑party solutions and vendors, ensuring they align with Hinge’s safety, security, and privacy standards
Analyze complex metrics and performance signals to guide decisions and continuously improve verification efficacy
Advocate for Account Integrity in company‑wide strategy and planning efforts, helping shape the roadmap for a safer Hinge
What We’re Looking For
8+ years of experience working as a PM, or relevant experience
Proven experience building identity, authentication, or verification products (e.g., age assurance, selfie or ID verification, KYC).
Deep understanding of user trust, safety, or abuse‑prevention challenges in consumer tech or marketplaces
Ability to lead complex, multi‑quarter initiatives with clarity, momentum, and alignment
Excellent communication, product leadership, and executive presence.
Ability to influence decisions and align stakeholders across levels and functions
Familiarity with verification vendors and industry best practices; comfortable navigating build vs. buy tradeoffs
Exceptional judgment, systems thinking, and ability to make principled tradeoffs in ambiguous spaces
If you’re passionate about helping people find meaningful connection and think you’d excel in this role, we’d love to hear from you — even if your experience doesn’t align perfectly with every point.
Salary Range $197,500.00 - $237,000.00 per year salary
