Summary Responsible for testing and inspection of fire protection systems (sprinkler & alarm), looking for deficiencies, troubleshooting existing conditions, reading and interpreting blueprints and manuals consistent with experience level, and writing detailed reports regarding inspection deficiencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections, testing, servicing, installing and preventative maintenance.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications and fire codes.
Complete service documentation detailing findings as needed.
Coordinate between inspection deficiencies and required service to correct the findings.
Communicate with Service Manager and/or Inspections Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements, and general status to ensure the customer receives the work per proposed scope.
Education and Experience High School Diploma or GED; 2‑3 years experience inspecting various types of fire sprinkler and alarm systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge and understanding of NFPA codes and standards for inspection, testing and installation; NICET II or III Certification, Backflow Certification preferred.
Computer Skills Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
