Fruitfull Inc. is seeking a reliable, mission‑driven Brand Ambassador & Lead Gleaner to serve as the on‑site lead for food recovery operations while representing Fruitfull as a positive, professional public face in the community.
This paid, part‑time role is ideal for community members, students, or recent graduates passionate about food justice, sustainability, and community engagement. You will play a critical role in ensuring that food recovery runs smoothly, partners are supported, and Fruitfull’s impact is clearly documented and communicated.
About the Role Designed to work well alongside another job, internship, or school schedule, this role offers meaningful, hands‑on experience in nonprofit operations, community outreach, leadership, and food recovery logistics.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities Lead Gleaner & On‑Site Operations
Serve as the Lead Gleaner during assigned food recovery shifts.
Arrive on‑site at designated farmers’ markets, grocery stores, or vendor locations.
Coordinate and lead produce recovery efforts with vendors and farmers.
Ensure food is handled respectfully, safely, and efficiently.
Support and guide volunteers when present.
Food Recovery Documentation & Reporting
Document all recovered food with clear photos per vendor/farmer.
Track and report what was donated and by whom during each recovery.
Confirm and document the receiving partner or organization for each donation.
Capture photos at drop‑off to ensure proper handoff and transparency.
Communication with Leadership
Communicate clearly with Fruitfull leadership before, during, and after each shift, including arrival time, photos, name of receiving organization, and confirmation that the partner’s needs are met.
Flag any issues, shortages, or opportunities for improvement in real time.
Brand Ambassador & Partner Relations
Represent Fruitfull with professionalism, warmth, and gratitude.
Build positive relationships with farmers, vendors, volunteers, and receiving partners.
Ensure partners feel appreciated, supported, and informed.
Uphold Fruitfull’s mission and values in all interactions.
Content & Impact Support (a plus)
Capture photos and short videos that highlight Fruitfull’s impact.
Share field insights and stories that can be used for social media and reporting.
Help reinforce Fruitfull’s presence at markets, campuses, and partner sites.
Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $15 per hour
Schedule: Part‑time, 3–4 days per week, 1 hour per day (occasionally up to 2 hours depending on market volume)
Work Style: On‑site, travel‑based (driving required)
Service Area (Required) Applicants must be based in Southern California and be able to travel to:
Riverside & San Bernardino Counties
Orange County (Fullerton, Irvine, Brea, Anaheim)
Los Angeles (including areas near USC & UCLA)
Reliable transportation is required.
Qualifications & Skills
Student status not required
Strong interest in food equity, sustainability, or community service
Comfortable leading on‑site activities independently
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Organized, dependable, and detail‑oriented
Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, or content capture is a plus
Spanish proficiency is a plus
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
