Who we’re looking for The Environmental & Facilities Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead planning and project development across the North American portfolio.
What you’ll be doing
Lead planning and project development for new construction and renovation projects across the North American portfolio
Support the Toyota North American Standard related to Building Mechanical systems
Investigate building industry trends, global Toyota trends, and current/past building issues
Introduce innovation and improvements for North American Mechanical Systems
Develop technical evaluation criteria related to renewal of Mechanical Systems
Support the creation of North American building standards/specifications for Mechanical systems
Complete technical studies related to potential building expansions, including system capacity studies, estimates of new mechanical systems, and schedule to implement
Provide internal review of mechanical drawings from outside engineering firms to support construction phase
Provide technical support for Property Risk management program for new construction
What you bring
Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 7 years Industrial Building Design experience
Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Projects proficiency – Intermediate
Minimum of 7 years' experience in Industrial Mechanical Systems (i.e., compressed air, chilled water, wastewater, etc.)
Added bonus if you have
Cost estimating experience for mechanical systems construction
Professional Engineering (PE) License
Industrial Building Construction Project Management experience
Facilities Operational experience at an Industrial Manufacturer
Proficiency with AutoCAD
Industry related Certifications in ASHRAE, CEM, and/or LEED AP
