Be the Best Hospice Aide You Can Be If you meet these qualifications, we would love to meet you: Must be certified by the state as a nurse's aide with successful completion of required training and a passing score of 85% or higher on the agency's competency exam. Additional requirements may apply based on state (e.g., CHHA in CA/NJ, CGNA in MD). CPR certification is required for direct patient care in specific states. Must be registered as a state aide with a clear record eligible for providing care. Requires a reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and state-required insurance. Your Responsibilities: Deliver compassionate, hands-on care to hospice patients, assisting with personal hygiene, mobility support, and repositioning for individuals who may require lifting (up to 200 lbs with assistance). Support patients in their homes or care facilities, encouraging mobility through activities like walking and standing, while ensuring respectful and timely end-of-life care. Monitor patient comfort, respond to their needs, and assist with daily living tasks while prioritizing safety and dignity. Adapt to home and facility environments, managing various conditions such as temperature changes and healthcare exposures while adhering to infection control protocols.
