Job Summary Under general supervision, work with PFS branch offices to facilitate the repossession, transport and selling of repossessed vehicles. Work with third party vendors to assist in repossession and remarketing of vehicles. Maximize recovery value by optimizing strategies and decisions to increase net recovery values.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Utilize RDN to review repossession orders, repossession status and movement of vehicles through the sale process.

Negotiate competitive rates with auctions transporters, and other remarketing vendors.

Coordinate with remarketing partner’s transporters, or auctions to choose the optimal sales path for each recovered vehicle.

Establish appropriate auction floor prices based on market data and vehicle condition.

Authorize and determine necessary reconditioning or repairs to maximize resale and recovery value.

Validate third party remarketing floor prices to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.

Oversee title transfer and delivery to ensure vehicles can be sold without delay.

Manage process to ensure promptly submission for condition reports, mileage, photos, and keys (if applicable).

Assign vehicle grade based on condition reports for auction bound units.

Monitor sales performance through remarketers and auction platforms.

Analyze and maintain reporting to determine success of vehicle sale results vs. Black Book values and other benchmarks.

Track KPI’s such as; repossessions on hand, repossessions sold, days to sales, average vehicle loss.

Follow up with repossession companies within 48 hours to confirm status.

Maintain full compliance to federal and state repossession regulations to reduce legal and financial risk to the company.

Review and authorizes valid fees submitted by repossession vendors.

Process impounded vehicles, manage the release, documentation, and payment.

Assist branches with retrieving redeemed vehicles post-repossession.

Communicates issues and updates branches on factors that may delay or impede vehicle sales.

Confirm payments to ensure all sales proceeds are received within five days.

Address and resolve any issues during repossession and sale processes.

Prompt and regular attendance is required.

Job Requirements

Prior auction experience or working with auctions in a remarketing capacity.

Ability to develop and manage relationships with repossession forwarders, transportation companies, and auction vendors.

Knowledge and understanding of cost/benefit analysis on refurbishing vehicles.
