We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer specializing in hardware design to join our dynamic engineering team in Cleveland, Ohio. This pivotal role involves leading the design and development of control systems for welding and cutting machinery, ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a company known for its commitment to technological excellence and sustainability. Design and develop hardware components for control systems used in welding and cutting machinery. Lead the debugging and validation of new hardware designs to ensure functionality and compliance with industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including software developers, product managers, and manufacturing specialists) to integrate hardware designs with other system components. Conduct rigorous testing and quality assurance on all new hardware designs. Prepare technical documentation and provide training to professionals and technical support staff on the developed systems. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in control systems technology and industry standards to maintain and enhance product competitiveness. Strong proficiency in electronic design and CAD software. Extensive knowledge of microcontroller architectures, DSP and PLCs. Experience with analog and digital circuit design. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. Familiarity with ISO 9001 and other regulatory standards is a plus.
