We are seeking a detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our Norfolk operations team. This entry-level position is primarily clerical and responsible for ensuring accurate documentation and tracking of all incoming and outgoing shipments. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal teams and external partners.

Duties and Responsibilities
Process shipping and receiving documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, and purchase orders
Enter shipment details into company systems and maintain accurate records
Verify accuracy of shipping/receiving paperwork and resolve discrepancies with vendors or carriers
Prepare shipping labels, documents, and invoices for outbound shipments
Track and monitor deliveries to ensure timely arrival
Coordinate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams to ensure smooth flow of goods
Maintain organized files, records, and reports for compliance and audit purposes
Provide other clerical support to the logistics team as needed
Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment, including sweeping, organizing shelves, and disposing of packaging materials
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents, injuries, and damage to goods or equipment
High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework in business, supply chain, or related field a plus
Previous clerical or administrative experience preferred, especially in a logistics or shipping environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and ability to learn ERP/WMS systems
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data entry skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Requirements
Ability to perform the essential job functions consistently, safely, and successfully in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
