Job Description As an Assistant Manager you will be responsible for everything that happens during your shift, including cost controls, inventory control, cash control, and customer relations. You must set the example and follow all policy and procedures 100 % of the time.
Responsibilities
Supervise staff and ensure adherence to policies and standards.
Manage cost controls, inventory, and cash handling.
Maintain store cleanliness and equipment operation.
Provide excellent customer service and handle cashier duties.
Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and payroll paperwork.
Assist with marketing, promotions, and community outreach.
Track profitability and report on store performance.
Essential Functions & Skills
Basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) and accurate monetary change.
Communication skills to give and receive written and verbal instructions.
Typing skills and ability to enter orders on a computer or touchscreen.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, carry, push trays, and navigate stairs.
Safe driving record and access to a reliable, insured vehicle.
Work Conditions Work may be performed in varying temperatures (36°F–90°F+), in outdoor weather, and in confined spaces such as walk‑in coolers. Food salts, fumes, and cornmeal dust are present.
Physical Requirements
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, and climbing as described in the detailed job duties.
Capacity to perform repetitive tasks, such as slicing dough and completing paperwork.
Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop as needed.
