Customer Onboarding Specialist

to lead customers through the critical first steps of adopting our platform and ensure they see immediate success.

The Role As a Customer Onboarding Specialist, you’ll take the handoff from Sales and own the onboarding process end-to-end. You’ll function as a

project manager for each new customer , guiding them through setup, coordinating with internal teams, and ensuring they’re successful in their first month live. This role combines customer success, technical implementation, and program design - ideal for someone who is organized, empathetic, and thrives on helping customers realize value quickly.

What You’ll Do

Own onboarding projects

from sales handoff through first-month success.

Define success criteria

for each customer and guide them through setup of their agent and supporting services like VOIP.

Coordinate internal stakeholders

(integrations engineering, managed services, etc.) to ensure smooth delivery of supported features.

Get customers live with their AI agents , ensuring core functionality is working and aligned with customer goals.

Monitor and support the first 30 days post-go-live , ensuring issues are resolved quickly and customers are confident using the product and dashboard before handing off to the support team and dedicated account manager.

Create and refine playbooks, documentation, and training materials

to make onboarding faster, smoother, and more scalable.

Manage many small accounts

in parallel while keeping each customer feeling prioritized and supported.

What We’re Looking For

2+ years of experience in

customer onboarding, implementation, success, or technical support

at a SaaS or tech company.

Strong organizational and project management skills—able to juggle multiple onboardings while staying on top of details.

Technical aptitude: familiarity with APIs, SaaS configurations, and ability to triage issues or route them to the right experts.

Excellent communication skills—empathetic, proactive, and able to guide non-technical users with confidence.

A builder’s mindset: comfortable creating processes, playbooks, and repeatable approaches in a fast-moving startup.

Ability to move quickly and efficiently and work well in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

Experience onboarding small business customers onto complex software or in healthcare-related SaaS.

Background with AI/automation products.

Exposure to sales/marketing tech stacks.
