Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)
Location: Selma, AL

Position Summary:

As a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to carry out treatment plans, support patients in achieving their rehabilitation goals, and help promote strength, mobility, and independence. This position offers a consistent schedule, opportunities for professional growth, and a supportive team environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Provide hands-on patient care, including therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional training.

  • Monitor and document patient progress and communicate updates or changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Educate patients and their families on treatment techniques, exercises, and recovery strategies.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment in compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current or eligible Alabama state licensure as a PTA.

  • Previous clinical experience preferred (new graduates welcome to apply).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for documentation.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.


Schedule & Compensation:

  • Status: Full-Time (typically 40 hours per week)

  • Compensation: Competitive pay commensurate with experience
