Summary/Objectives It is the responsibility of the Correspondent Account Services Specialist to take ownership of all tasks and challenges that they encounter in the operation of their assigned position. This position is responsible for, but not limited to, all Account Services functions including opening accounts and establishing new services for customers. Support Business Development Team and all Correspondent Division Departments with questions and status updates related to paperwork, services, and accounts. Develop and maintain relationships with customers as well as other Correspondent Division departments, the Federal Reserve Banks, and other service providers as appropriate. Essential Functions Account Services Functions: Handle all aspects of opening, closing and modifying accounts in the core system Open, close and modify Line of Credits in core system Coordination of all Division paperwork and agreements Prepare customer welcome packages including instructional documents Customer Support: Handle Converge (online banking product) support calls including helping customers install system software and set up users Record customer calls in CRM system as needed Perform fast and accurate research for customer banks Backup for Transaction Processing: Handle processing activities for ACH, Coin & Currency Orders and Large Dollar Return Item Notifications Ensure all transactions are balanced and processing deadlines are met General Responsibilities: Scan and file customer and internal documents daily Deliver exceptional customer service and Converge support to all internal and external customers Develop and maintain an understanding of all Correspondent Division and FRB banking operations, as well as a basic understanding of other Division services Support department objectives and goals Generate ideas to enhance/improve current processes related to job functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Competencies Ability to manage multiple requests simultaneously and work with other team members to ensure that daily responsibilities are handled timely Proficient with general office machines and programs to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software that might be utilized in the department Ability to use the computer efficiently and the capacity to learn new software programs as they are rolled out by the Bank Must have good knowledge of business English, including spelling and punctuation when writing Must possess basic English language skills to speak clearly and effectively with coworkers and customers Must be well-organized, accurate, and attentive to detail Must be cooperative and willing to assist coworkers and customers on a regular basis Must have effective listening skills demonstrated by the ability to listen to others talk (without interruption), understand them, and then propose solutions or make contributions based on the points made by others Must possess excellent multi-tasking skills and be able to function well under pressure Must be able to remain composed under pressure and respond to customer and coworker concerns regularly Must have a keen eye for detail and follow instructions to the letter Must be patient and willing to help others in solving problems while always maintaining a positive attitude Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements Education: Minimum high school diploma or general education degree (GED) Experience: One to three years in customer service/administration work and related experience and/or training Certifications/Specific Knowledge: None Training Requirements/Classes Required annual compliance training; New Employee Orientation Physical Demands Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk. Work Environment This position is located in a cubicle environment that may be loud throughout the day. The position is located inside a cooled and heated facility with ability to go to a break room or rest room during breaks. Telecommuting roles no matter if hybrid or 100% full time telecommuting must have a secure home office environment that is free from background noise and distractions. They must also have a reliable private internet connection that is not supplied by use of cellular data (hot spot). Cable or fiber connections are preferred. Requirements are subject to change, as new systems and technology is delivered. Travel Travel may be required to attend meetings, conferences or training as needed.
