Mold Maker
Mold Makers are responsible for assembling molds and tooling to specification before they are sent to customers. This involves ensuring that injector pins fit perfectly or require grinding and polishing to achieve the necessary fit. Responsibilities
Troubleshoot tool problems both conceptually and on the shop floor. Perform conventional machining tasks such as lathe work, turning, drilling, threading, tool sharpening, surface grinding, welding, drilling, tapping/threading, and polishing. Engage in the conventional machining, spotting, timing, completion of details, and assembly of molds. Execute revisions, repairs, and upgrades to molds or dies. Operate all machines and tools proficiently to perform mold or die build and repair functions. Review prints and programs to develop processes to complete jobs. Maintain the quality of parts through inspection and communication with team members. Collaborate with designers, programmers, and assemblers to produce or repair necessary components. Identify process and equipment problems and suggest improvements. Work with apprentices to enhance their skill levels. Essential Skills
Proficiency in polishing, grinding, and mold making. Experience in mold repair and tool and die work. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Troubleshooting skills for injection molds and tooling. High School Diploma. 3 years of experience in Mold Making. 3 years of experience in Manual Machining (lathe, drilling, threading). 3 years of experience in tooling assembly and repair (polish, grind). Additional Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience in mold making and assembly is a plus. Why Work Here?

This position operates within a warehouse and manufacturing environment that is loud, but safety is prioritized with the provision of ear and eye protection if needed. Employees must wear close-toed shoes at all times. The work schedule includes a 1st shift from Monday to Friday, 6am to 2:30pm/4:30pm, with occasional Saturdays. The 2nd shift runs Monday to Friday from 2:30pm to 10:30pm or 4:30pm to 2:30am. Saturdays for the 1st shift are from 6 to 11 or 12, and for the 2nd shift from 11:45am to 5:45pm. The 2nd shift has a smaller team size, with about 20 people. Job Type & Location
